The AlumierMD Difference

Not all chemical peels are created equal, and the brand your clinic uses matters more than most clients realize. AlumierMD is a professional-grade, physician and clinic-dispensed skincare brand. It is not available in retail stores, at drugstores, or online. The formulations used in your treatment at Luna Med Spa are exclusively accessible through licensed medical clinics, meaning the concentration, purity, and clinical efficacy of the acids in your peel are in an entirely different category from anything marketed as a "chemical peel" at a spa or sold as an at-home kit.

When our Registered Nurses select your AlumierMD peel formulation, they are working with professional-strength acids at precise concentrations, customized to your specific skin type, concern, and tolerance on that day. This is not a one-formula-fits-all treatment. It is a medically informed decision made by an RN who has assessed your skin directly.

AlumierMD offers a range of professional peels, from superficial brightening treatments to medium-depth resurfacing protocols targeting acne, pigmentation, and aging, and the right choice depends entirely on your skin type, current condition, and tolerance. Our Registered Nurse selects your specific formulation at consultation, not before, because no two skins respond the same way and the correct peel for your skin today may be different from what it needs six months from now.

How it works

The Science of Chemical Exfoliation

Swipe to explore

pH Reduction

In order to reduce the skin's pH, a carefully formulated acid is applied. This deliberate shift in the skin's environment causes the cellular bonds between dead skin cells to weaken, triggering a controlled shedding process.

Cellular Turnover

Because these bonds are broken, it allows for deep exfoliation, promoting the rapid formation of new cells. Dead skin cells on the surface peel off as a result of this procedure, revealing a complexion underneath that is visibly smoother and deeply rejuvenated.

Treatment Focus

Dullness & Uneven Tone

A single chemical peel immediately strips away dullness to provide the skin with an instant boost of brightness and radiance.

Textural Irregularities

Dead skin cells on the surface peel off, revealing a complexion that is noticeably smoother to the touch.

Inflammatory Acne

Customized acid applications help clear congestion, reduce inflammation, and prevent future breakouts.

Fine Lines & Aging

With multiple treatments, cellular turnover is stimulated to soften fine lines and rejuvenate aging skin.
IS THIS RIGHT FOR ME?

AlumierMD Chemical Peels: Are You a Good Candidate?

AlumierMD peels are highly adaptable, but the right formulation depends entirely on your skin type, current condition, and goals.Safety Note:AlumierMD chemical peels at Luna Med Spa are administered by Registered Nurses (RN/RPN) using professional-grade, clinic-dispensed formulations, under the medical direction of Vijeta Singh, NP-PHC, MScN. Every client receives a thorough skin assessment before their first treatment to determine the appropriate peel type, depth, and protocol. These are medical-grade treatments, not spa peels, and are selected and administered with clinical precision. Individual results may vary. A series of treatments is recommended for optimal outcomes.

During your complimentary consultation at Luna Med Spa, one of our Registered Nurses will assess your anatomy, skin quality, and goals before recommending any treatment. Here's a general guide to help you prepare.

You're Likely a Great Candidate If...

You want to improve skin texture, tone, brightness, or radiance
You have dullness, uneven pigmentation, or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
You have mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne or congestion you want to reduce
You want to soften the appearance of fine lines and early signs of aging
You are willing to commit to a series of treatments for progressive, lasting results
You can follow post-peel aftercare including AlumierMD home care products and strict SPF use
You are in good general health, and your skin is not currently irritated, sunburned, or compromised
You want a non-invasive skin renewal option with minimal downtime

You May Need to Wait or Discuss With Us If...

You have an active skin infection, cold sore, or open wound in the treatment area
You are pregnant or breastfeeding, chemical peels are not recommended during this time
You have a known sensitivity or allergy to any acids used in chemical peels, disclose at consultation
You have recently used isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 6–12 months
You have extremely sensitive, reactive, or compromised skin, a gentler entry-level treatment may be recommended first
You cannot avoid sun exposure in the days following treatment, SPF compliance is non-negotiable post-peel
You are currently using prescription retinoids or certain acids; these must be paused before treatment
You have a history of keloid scarring or unusual healing responses, discuss with your RN before proceeding

"The consultation is where the real customization happens. Two clients can walk in wanting the same result, clearer skin, better tone, and need completely different peels to get there. AlumierMD gives us the clinical range to meet every skin type where it actually is, not where a generic protocol assumes it is."

The Experience

What to Expect: Results & Commitment

While a single chemical peel will provide your skin with an instant boost of brightness and radiance, it takes time for treatments like these to produce lasting structural results.

Chemical peels work progressively, and understanding what that looks like in the days after treatment will help you plan ahead and recognize the process working exactly as it should.

45-60 Min

A quick, relaxing procedure perfect for refreshing your skin.

Instant Glow

Immediate radiance for most clients; results vary by peel type and skin.

Progressive

Requires multiple sessions and home-care commitment for lasting results.

Post-Peel Recovery & Care

In the first 24–48 hours, your skin may appear flushed and feel slightly tight or sensitive, similar to mild sunburn. This is normal and a sign that cellular renewal has begun. Over the following 2–5 days, you may experience visible flaking or peeling as the treated surface layer sheds to reveal the fresher skin underneath. The intensity of this varies by peel type and depth: a brightening or radiance peel typically produces minimal visible peeling, while a medium-depth treatment targeting acne or pigmentation may result in more noticeable shedding.

Do not pick, peel, or exfoliate the skin manually during this phase. Your Registered Nurse will provide specific aftercare instructions and recommend AlumierMD post-peel home care products to protect your skin barrier and extend your results. Consistent use of these products between sessions is one of the most important factors in your long-term outcome.

Your results don't stop when you leave the treatment room, and neither does your AlumierMD protocol. Following your peel, your Registered Nurse will recommend a tailored AlumierMD home care routine specifically designed to protect your skin barrier, support cellular renewal, and extend the results of your in-clinic treatment. These are the same professional-grade formulations used in your treatment, not drugstore alternatives, and they're dispensed directly through Luna Med Spa so your RN can ensure every product is appropriate for your skin at every stage of your recovery and maintenance journey. Skipping or substituting your home care with over-the-counter products in the days and weeks following a peel is one of the most common reasons clients underachieve their results. The in-clinic treatment opens the door, your AlumierMD home care keeps it open.
