Fat dissolving treatment is a non-surgical procedure, also known as lipolysis injections, used to target and reduce localized fat deposits. These injections contain active compounds designed to break down fat cells, which are then gradually metabolized by the body.

Luna Med Spa uses PCDC (Phosphatidylcholine and Deoxycholate), a generic formulation of deoxycholic acid. All treatments are administered by Registered Nurses (RN/RPN) under the medical direction of Vijeta Singh, NP-PHC, MScN. As a compounded agent, PCDC use across all treatment areas will be discussed in full at your complimentary consultation.

Every treatment begins with a thorough contour mapping and consultation. Your RN injector assesses the size, depth, and distribution of your stubborn fat deposits to determine the right PCDC dosage and injection technique, because no two body or facial contours are the same.

Deoxycholic Acids (PCDC)

At Luna Med Spa, we use PCDC, Phosphatidylcholine and Deoxycholate, a high-quality generic formulation of deoxycholic acid. Like the body's own naturally occurring bile acid, PCDC actively breaks down and permanently destroys the membranes of targeted fat cells. We chose PCDC for its clinical effectiveness, consistent results, and the flexibility it gives our RN injectors to customize concentration and dosage to your specific treatment area.

Natural Elimination

Once the deoxycholic acid disintegrates the cells, those fat cells can no longer store or accumulate fat. The lymphatic system then takes over, naturally metabolizing and removing the destroyed cells from the body.

Lipolysis works best when it's matched to the right candidate, the right treatment area, and realistic expectations.Safety Note:Lipolysis involves injecting deoxycholic acid, a prescription-grade agent, into targeted fat deposits. At Luna Med Spa, all treatments are administered by Registered Nurses (RN/RPN) under the medical direction of Vijeta Singh, NP-PHC, MScN. A full medical history and treatment area assessment are completed before any injections are planned. Some uses of deoxycholic acid represent off-label applications; this will be discussed transparently at your consultation. Individual results may vary.

What to Expect: Sessions & Timing

Lipolysis is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure. During your appointment, our Registered Nurses (RN/RPN) will administer the lipolytic injections directly into the targeted fat deposits.

Because the body needs time to naturally process and flush out the disintegrated fat cells via the lymphatic system, results take time to appear. You can anticipate a minimum of three sessions and a maximum of six, depending on the areas being treated and your desired treatment outcomes.
